What is it?

Shoe Scanner is a floor mounted 3D imaging system. The device uses harmless millimeter wave imaging techniques to inspect footwear to determine if it has been altered or is being used to transport concealed items, such as weaponry, substances, compounds or electronic items.

The Shoe Scanner system can be used at the Boarding pass/ID checkpoint to eliminate the need for footwear removal. This will streamline the security screening process, reduce bottle necks and reduce the number of unprotected people waiting in queue.

How it works?

  • The floor installed, Shoe Scanner system is analogous to flatbed scanner using millimeter energy to create a 3D image of the interior structure of the footwear.  
  • The Shoe Scanner does not require removal of footwear.
  • The image is analyzed by Artificial intelligence to detect any concealments or alterations in the footwear structure,
  • The shoe-scanner connects to computer monitor and automatically alerts operators when a threat is identified.
  • The Shoe Scanner can be used alone or in conjunction with other security screening equipment and retro fitted to existing security apparatus.
  • Safe, proven technology approved for use by US FDA, Health Canada and EU Airport legislation.
